Keep s you on the edge of your seat
Being able to relate to the pressures of high school as a freshman. Getting sucked in too deep and realizing it’s too late once you reach the point where you want to turn back and go back to your old life. My favorite character would have to be Archie for the reason that no matter what is being said about him he still stays true to the person he is whether that’s a smartalic or a nerd. I loathed and admired him at the same time. Archie always meant good with his ways. You may seem confused at first because the scene starts right away, but it starts falling together by the end of the first chapter and its uphill from there! I believe Robert Cormier’s message was to present the pros and cons of a pressured situation
