Overview

Cursed by a witch in 1860, the vampire must kill five women in a one month period from Black Friday to Christmas Eve each decade. With the murder of the final victim, the curse will be lifted and the vampire will become human and live a normal life.

As that glorious day approaches, the vampire plays with the lives of a detective, Hyram Lasky; Police officers Mike McGinnis, who witnessed the first murder, and his partner Sara Jameison; Letter carrier Brian Miller and his new love Jessie Sterling.

After learning that a vampire is responsible for the murder of Jenna Blackman, a media firestorm is launched. Hysteria becomes the norm for every person searching for a creature who mocks them from every corner.

On Christmas Eve, the vampire selects the final victim and takes her to the Star of Bethlehem, high above the city, to finally end the curse.

The battle of good versus evil ensues.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com - Randy Mixter
Having read Larry Deibert's other excellent novels, I was eagerly anticipating The Christmas City Vampire. I was not disappointed. This well-written book has everything you'd want in a novel, suspense, thrills, mystery, and a touch of horror. It kept me up late into the night reading it and afterwards the lights stayed on. The ability to take a reader into the pages is the benchmark of a good book, and The Christmas City Vampire drew me into the story and kept me there. I highly recommend it.
