Overview

Merry Peterson is not a big fan of Christmas. Ever since she found out at the age of 8 that her parents had lied to her about Santa, the whole holiday thing lost its magic. Now she's a long way from home, alone, and missing her family...until she falls right into Santa's lap.

Jason Wells might be a hard-working news anchor, but he still takes time to play Santa for the kids at Children's Hospital, collects toys for underprivileged children, and solicits donations for worthy causes. But Merry's assignment for Dallas Beats magazine is to expose the darker side of the Channel Six news team, and Jason just might get caught in the middle.

The Christmas wish is a 20,000 word novella about the true meaning of Christmas and how helping others can lead to a dream come true.

Tori Scott did it again. One who is away from family because of distance or loss will identify with MERRY. The good deeds done by Jason makes you realize what is often lost in the hussle and bustle of a crazy season. The story of Jason and Merry was sweet, and showed the readers the real christmas spirit. Personally was not feeling the spirit this year since its my first without my mom. This story reminded me I wasn't honoring her memory because she loved christmas and like Jason's family would

Meet the Author

Tori Scott has been seriously writing with an eye toward publication for 12 years, though she's been spinning tales and writing poetry since elementary school. She is a former Golden Heart finalist in the prestigious RWA writing contest, a winner in several regional contests, a finalist in the International Digital Awards, and a semi-finalist in the Best Indie Books of 2012. She lists several publications among her accomplishments, including a featured Christmas story in Woman's World magazine.

Tori loves reading, swimming, photography, traveling, and especially writing. She sets most of her books in Texas because she was born in West Texas, raised in North Texas, and now lives in East Texas. She's spent the last five years traveling the entire state for work, and even taught Texas history for a few years. She tries to write what she knows...and loves.

Check out Tori's full list of twelve novels and novellas. Watch for her next release, Book Three in the Lone Star Cowboys Series, The Bluest Eyes in Texas, coming soon.

A Notice To My Readers: Four Houses is not one of my books.

Tori Scott does it again!  Tori Scott has a way of writing a story that makes you feel as if you are a part of the story.  Merry is an investigative reporter who is new to Dallas, Texas and hates Christmas.  Jason is the anchor for the local TV news station and an all round good guy.  Merry's newest assignment is to do a report on the local TV news crew, are they really as nice as they appear?  Merry is torn about this assignment, but she may find her answers when she falls into Santa's lap, literally!  You'll have to read the book to find out what happens.
