extremely detailed but easy to read/use

Seems to be written primarily for the British reader. This book, while very informative, contains alot of information useful only to the brits. I consider myself an avid housekeeper & faithful devotee of their show on BBC...but even I learned a number of useful things!

    I Also Recommend:

The Cleaning Bible by Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie

This is an excellent reference for any homemaker, especially newly married or about to be married women. It is a step-by-step guide to organizing your home and keeping it clean with organic products you probably already have in your kitchen and can mix together yourself. This is especially helpful for those people with asthma and/or allergies of all kinds, or just people who want to "go green". A lot of it is common sense, which seems to be in short supply these days. You don't have to read the whole book if you don't want to, you can just go to the section that you need, but I recommend reading the whole book because it's full of basic, helpful information. There are lots of things you will find yourself saying, "now why didn't I think of that?" I love a clean house and I thought I knew every trick in the book, but I have learned an enormous amount of information from these dynamic women. It is, indeed, THE CLEANING BIBLE. It also has lots of informational tidbits about the authors interspaced throughout the book which make it a lovely read.
