St Teresa offers the world a spirituality that transcends time, culture, race, and gender. She accomplishes the seemingly impossible task of calling us to reach for the heights while rooting her advice in a simple, practical approach focusing on love, self-knowledge, and humility. Having read and profited from other translations, I can honestly say that the Kavanaugh/Rodriques translation of the Teresian corpus shines above the others. I highly recommend all three volumes along with the 2 volume collection of letters all published by the Institute of Carmelite Studies.
