I don't typically like short stories, but this was a great one. The only thing I didn't like about it was the rather abrupt ending. I would give it 4.5 stars because of that if it were possible but despite that, it was a very good read for what it was.

This is not a story for most children since the concept of death being forever is so foreign to them. The ending could also cause nightmares.
A sad story for our time. This happens more frequently than we want to believe. This is an example of why single parents need to plan ahead AND have legal papers drawn up in case of unfortunate circumstances.

This is such a beautiful and sad little story but it speaks volumns for the inhumanity that some people because they are different face every day, Love is love, I don't care how you define it, God says to love your fellow man as yourself, I don't see where he put any attachments on that, He made us all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The story wasn't all that bad, and to be frank, it was a beautiful, heart felt story of a little girls life being torn from her as her mother fades through her illness. But if it were written in a different view this would've been a great tale.

Don't bother! Plot is lousy and it's not worth the cost -- oops, it's free. Still not worth the cost!

I never thought I could feel emotionally attached to a character in such a short story.
