Overview

Savannah, Georgia, the Bible belt South. The fourth trial week for accused child pedophile/murderer Robert Lee St.John. Three five year-old boys were kidnapped, raped and drowned in the Savannah River; forensic evidence says Bob Lee is the killer. The evidence for the first two victims is circumstantial, and is excluded from the trial, so says the legal system. But a key witness, the mother of the third victim, has been threatened' while testifying in court she suddenly blurts out the truth about Bob Lee's horrific killings of all three boys. A mistrial is granted, bail is set, a new trial is ordered and the killer walks free. But Bob Lee isn't going to wait for another trial; he's planning to run. But before he does, he'll leave the authorities a reminder, a fourth victim. Man's laws are complicated, the system he created to handle them is flawed, broken, fatally so. There is an earlier set of laws, provided by God. The Commandments. Most folks understand them, most appreciate their simplicity. Break the law, pay the price; a simple concept. And someone has been watching the legal circus surrounding Bob Lee. One night Bob Lee disappears, and evidence of his murderous intention is given to the police, along with a promise. So long as man's system works, there won't be any problems. But when it breaks down, and the victim is denied justice, and the bad guys walks, the scales will be balanced, according to God's laws. They still work every time.
