    Meh...

For the true Peter Pan fan, you really only need to read _Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens_ and _Peter and Wendy_. I'm at a loss to understand or explain _The Little Bird_. If you do read it, note that the chapters dealing with Peter are simply excerpted for _Peter in Kensington Gardens_. Great literature stands the test of time and treats themes in a universal manner. Not so here. The Peter stories are Edwardian in tone, sensibilty, and mores. Read them only if you're a fan or you want to read the source stories for the musical play's or Disney's treatments of the character by the same name.
