Editorial Reviews

Wall Street Journal
A staggering compendium of results, highlights, and oddments dating from the first modern games in 1896...Few reference books qualify as good bedtime reading but The Complete Book of the Winter Olympics by David Wallenchinsky is an exception.
NY Times Book Review
An extremely meticulous -- one might even say Olympian -- piece of scholarship.
Arizona Republic
This is an exhaustive accumulation of history, trivia, rules, times, and medal counts....If you plan to watch or attend the games in Salt Lake City in February, this book would be a good investment.

Unlike the previous edition for the 2010 Winter Olympics, this years book is a huge disappointment. It appears to have been produced in haste with the pages virtually unreadable and the overall quality very poor. Even the set out of the pages is inconsistent throughout the book. I'm sure that Mr Wallechinsky and Mr Loucky aren't happy with the final product.
