    Spices of the World

This is a very good book about spices and recipes using spices. The first section is about spices; their culinary and medical use, a little history and appearance of the spices. The photos are great and show many variants of the spices.

After only a week, we've made a few recipes and have enjoyed them all, with several more beckoning. We especially liked the Jambalaya and Spaghettinni with Garlic and Olive Oil. The recipes are easy to follow and profusely illustrated.

It's a British book, so some of the terminology is different for Americans, but nothing that can't be figured out. The recipes include metric and American measurements along with Celsius, Fahrenheit and Cooker level temperatures.

I recommend this for anyone who enjoys spices and cooking.
