Emi Lost & Found series - Winner of the Best Happily Ever After of 2013 - HEA Bookshelf

“THE BEST BOOKS YOU'RE NOT READING. This series runs the gamut of emotions. I felt everything from pure joy and happiness to absolute devastation.” - Kelli, Alphas, Authors and Books Oh My

“Lori Otto managed to pull me in to the story so that I was so engrossed, entwined with it, so much that I didn’t know where the story ended and I began.” - StacyHGG, Books Unhinged Book Blog

This special edition contains Not Today, But Someday; Lost and Found; Time Stands Still; Never Look Back; and two short stories: Love, Lost and In the Mind of a Dying Man.

Not Today, But Someday (prequel)
Nate Wilson knows he wants Emi Hennigan from the moment he sees her. Emi knows she needs Nate after one night together. A life-long friendship is born, and a pact is made to ensure that nothing will come between them.

Lost and Found (book one)
After swearing off love with Emi in a silly high school pact, Nate has been seeing other women in hopes of finding one that evokes stronger feelings than the ones he’s been harboring for Emi since he was a teen. Over the span of a year, boundaries are crossed, feelings are confessed, and their unique friendship begins to blossom into something more. With a promising future ahead of them both, fate intervenes to bring two soul mates together.

Time Stands Still (book two)
No man could compete with Nate, Emi thought, until one night – one evening, one party, one journey, one second alters her course completely. That night, her brother’s best friend, Jack Holland, comes back into her life with a mission. In a year’s time, he slowly finds a comfortable place in Emi’s life, but only time will tell if it’s right for Emi – and enough for him.

Never Look Back (book three)
To say Emi’s life over the past two years has had its share of peaks and valleys is an understatement – and her friends and family would agree. In the conclusion to Emi Lost & Found, Jack guides Emi through a year of self-discovery, and teaches her that faith in true love – and in soul mates – can yield happiness from even the darkest of places.

Plus two bonus short stories!

This series is phenomenal. There isn't a weak book to be found and that is extremely rare. Each book is written from a different character's point of view and this adds to the magnificence of the overall story. You really get to know the characters and never have reason to question their decisions. I was captivated from the first page and was spellbound until the very last page of book 3. Emi Lost and Found is so real that I felt physically sick and experienced actual pain.

Meet the Author

After an exhilarating, collaborative writing project, Lori L. Otto had an idea for an original novel. The characters and their rich stories would keep her awake at night, and even with barely any sleep, she felt more alert and alive than she had in years. Her days off were spent in cafés, sandwich shops and bookstores, feverishly trying to get all of the details out of her head and onto paper.

THIS is a great series of books. Lori Otto's characters are very well developed, to the point you feel like you know them in the end. I love how the author kept switching back and forth from one of the character's perspectives to another. It gives the reader a much more in-depth look into each of their lives. These books will not disappoint you as you go through a wide range of emotions with the characters. These are the first books I ever read that made me cry (SOB!). I was genuinely moved : )

    Beautiful and sentimental love story!

I was simply taken by the vivid emotions of each character and their interactions with one another. Lori did an exceptional job building each character. I fell in love at first read!

    A MUST READ!!!

I'd originally the free prequel NOT TODAY BUT SOMEDAY and was so loved the characters, I just had to buy the trilogy. Lori Otto's characters that are so real, you forget they are creations of her imagination. You will laugh with them, you will cry with them, but you will NOT put the book down til you ve read the last page....and you will still want more.

    Love this book!!!

Great Book!!! I loved this book and am so excited to know that I have two other books to read. The author did an excellent job developing these characters. She kept the love scenes clean and allowed you to get to know and love these characters. I saw that she has another series coming out, I can't wait to read it. I might have to wait until the complete series comes out though I hate waiting in the wings for the next story to come out. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a great love story.

    Awesome

Just finished the entire series (including the prequel, Not Today but Someday). I have never cried so hard just reading a book! The author has a magical way of connecting things from all of the books in the series. It feels so real.

    has possibilities

This book needs a good proofreading. I and me are misused thruout. It looks as if it had been spellchecked as several words have the incorrect spelling for the way they are being used. The plot is interesting and has some twists that keep the reader interested, but it needs pruning. Condense it into 1/3 the size and it would be a 5 star book. I like the way the plot moves from scene to scene without endless descriptions. Enough to sketch in a setting but not so much it's boring. The sexual teasing gets very monotonous. The descriptions themselves are okay, just too many times to offer it then jerk it away. Not believable. This could be a really good book. It's just not ready.

I feel as though I am well versed in this genre, but yet I found myself sincerely dissapointed with the finale. It was a nice plot to see the struggles, that we don't necessarily see everyday. Beyond that, there was too much grief, and I agree with the character's father that there wasn't enough time. Maybe it is because of a limited number of pages, but had it been 1000 pages and more well developed I would have been much more entertained. Overall I am rather unamused.

    Wonderful book!

This beautiful story about friendship, love, romance, and struggle has it all. It begins with Nate and Emi, best friends since high school, living, in New York. They go about their lives as friends while each one harbors feelings for the other that go beyond friendship. Eventually fate brings them to a point where they have to decide if they should risk their friendship for a more romantic relationship. This story has real characters who struggle with the same doubts we all have about "should we or shouldn't we", do I take this path or that one? The author does a great job telling this story through the everyday experiences we all have- work, hanging out with friends, weddings etc.... I liked these characters so much that I still can't get the story out of my head despite the fact that I read it for the first time 6 months ago....it's that good! I would definitely recommend this book!!
