    The Final Stand chapter three

Icewing prowled through the undergrowth the moon was covered by clouds. She lept out landing on a small brown mouse she killied it quickly with a nip to the back of its neck. She picked it up and headed back to were Gorsepelt and Ivytail were waiting. As Icewing neared the area she scented Sunclan. Pearing through the bush she saw Gorsepelt and Ivytail surrounded by five Sunclan warriors. She flattened closer to the ground. 'They're waiting for someone...' Icewing thought to herself. She examined her clanmates. Noticeing Ivytail had a few scratches but that was it. She decided to go for it. She bunched up in a ball ready to on the closest cat. But two more appeared they padded over to a muscular tom who Icewing assumed as the leader. " theres no sign of the third cat." Said a lythe shecat. Icewing didnt hear the reply because she had turned and sprinted back quietly soon to reach the entrance. She heard a cats paws behind her. Icewing turned her head to see two muscular toms giveing chase only a tail length behind. ' i ct lead them near the camp' she thought before vearing away from the stream. Icewing ran faster the two cats behind her were beginning to grow farther and farther behind. Then she had an idea. Up aheadwas the fallen tree where brambles grew thickly. This was her least favorite way into the tunnels. Icewing jumped up onto the log then dove into the brambles landing with alot of racket she crouched low weaving through the brambles before finaly feeling the log. She could hear the two cats drawing closer. She squeezed under the logon the other side she carefully stufed a few thorns in the passage under the log the darted down to the tunnel she appeared in the main cave out of breath scenting the air for Stonestar. She heard his voice and followed it. " Stonestar! Ivytail and Gorsepelt have been captured by Sunclan warriors!" Stonestar stood up alarmed " Hawkfoot! Silentnight! Rosepelt! Thorneye!" The leader called. Ad the cats came running. " Gorsepelt and Ivytail have been captured. Icewing lead the way" Icewing gave a quick nod and bounded toward the nearest entrance the others followed behind. ** Icewing burst into the clearing leaping on the nearest cat. Which was the lythe shecat. She gave a hiss of defiance and rolled over. Icewing struggled to get up but the shecat jumped on her pinning Icewing. Icewing felt claws digging into er soft belly fur. The shecat raised a paw ready to give a deadly blow. But Icewing was faster se pushed the shecat off and sliced open the cats nose then clawed her muzzle. The cat gave a yowl of pain before running back toward where eve she came from. Icewing looked around Thorneye was pinned under one of the toms that had chased her. She leaped on its back dragging it off Thorneye. The tom turned on her and sliced his claws across her cheek ignoreing the pain she felt blood well up on her cheek. Thorneye clawed off some of the cats ear. The burly tom spun around to face Thorneye hissing ad spitting. Icewing raked er claws down his sides. The tom spin his head back and forth not sure what to do. He gave a snarl and was about to leap on Icewing but a terrified yowl sounded " Sunclan retreat!" The tom gave a low growl before disapearing into the bushes after his clan mates. Stonestar mew sounded " anyone badly injured" Icewing looked around and answered "no" then lets et back to camp" he padded out. And they all fllowed...
