Bill Douglas and Angela Wong Douglas are the co-founders of World Tai Chi&Qigong Day (the last Saturday of April each year). Bill is the Tai Chi Expert for Dr. Andrew Weil's DrWeil.com, and was one of a handful of national Tai Chi experts to help formulate a National Council on the Aging efficacy guide for professionals to begin Tai Chi programs for local aging populations. Bill has presented for the National Parkinson's Foundation, the American Heart Association, and for some of the world's largest corporations and health institutions. He is the 2009 Inductee to the Internal Arts Hall of Fame; the Extraordinary Service in the Field of Qigong Award recipient from the National Qigong Association; the Media Excellence on Qigong Award recipient from the World Congress on Qigong; and the Leadership Award recipient from the National Tai Chi Association; and was the Lou Gehrig's Hero Award recipient from the ALS Association.

With this new edition Bill Douglas and his wife have created a more complete and user friendly tutorial. The video clips that can be accessed on-line are great aid to instruction, giving the reader access to easy to follow graphic aids for all exercises and tai chi form movements. This is great improvement over still photos and simple static drawings. The book makes no assumption that the reader has any background or knowledge of Eastern martial arts or philosophy, and does a very good job of presenting instructions, philosophic concepts, and a little of Chinese medicine in an easy to follow text. I bought the Nook edition. With the Nook apps, I found it easy to combine reading the text and selecting the on-line elements on my lap top.
