I purchased this book for my husband who was interested in learning more about my religion (we have only been married a few months and he is new to learning about this stuff). Overall it has given him a good insight to my beliefs and opened his eyes to more than is portrayed in the media about wicca and earth base beliefs. It has given him the chance to think of questions and topics he would like to know more about without thinking of this as "satanism" and negatively. It has been an eye opening book for him.

I've been a long time believer in Wicca, and this book guides you in how to become a follower of Wicca. It is a step by step of the different holidays, preparation before doing a ritual, casting a circle, calling the corners and a whole bunch more. I like this book because it isn't as "preachy" as some of the other books on the market where it's like the author is pushing their view on you and you have to follow what they do and can't be different. I borrowed the second addition of this book from a friend and when I saw that a third edition was out I wanted it for my collection. The third edition has some updates to it but most of it sticks with the second edition and probably first edition, but any edition of this book you may find is a great one to have.

There are a lot of beginner books out there, some will treat the reader like an idiot, this one however if different. It tries to welcome you from the beginning and show you the way that is best with your understanding. The definitions and little factoids are brilliant. It is a good beginner book and I like having it around too, I've been practicing for about 13 years now.

It's a very good starter guide to Wicca, it should by no means be the only book to read if you're interested in Wicca but it's a good place to start.

An excellent guide into the religion of Wicca, and the basics of witchcraft. Even if your not wiccan, you may find things in here useful to either your rituals, or just understanding your wiccan friends is a plus too.

This is a great book for those curious about Wicca and Witchcraft, who are deciding whether or not this is the right spiritual path for them. It is also a great reference book for those who have been in the Craft and on the Path for awhile.

This is a good book, with a lot of information. However, at times, the order the information is presented in can be very frustrating. This also makes going back to check something very difficult, as the information may be spread out over several non-sequential chapters. This book is good for anyone looking for some basic information and guidelines.
