This book is a portable treasure-trove of the Jewish history and culture of France. It is written in a highly-readable, informal, enthusiastic style that engages you from the start. If you have been to France before, you will see familiar sites in a fresh way, and you will discover lots of new ones. If you have never been to France, this book is an invaluable addition to the general-interest guidebooks. (Even if you're not planning a trip, the book is an informative treat.) I'm not an observant Jew, but I do want to learn more about my people's heritage, and this book turned out to be an excellent resource. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
