Anna Akhmatova is one of the best poets I have ever read. That being said, if you order this book, you will not be receiving the bilingual, two volume edition that Barnes and Noble advertises it as. You will receive the unilingual (English only) updated version in only one volume. I was disappointed (not in the poet...in B & N ) because I have looked everywhere for the two-volume edition with the Russian beside the English, and have been unable to find it. If anyone knows of a place to locate this version, please contact me.
