    Great for a Star Wars fan.

    I recently got this encyclopedia as a present and I love looking through the pages. It is much better than the first encyclopedia since it covers the entire Star Wars Universe rather than the last half. The information, while not as detailed as the separate guides (like Star Wars: The New Essential Guide to Alien Species), has just enough information to satisfy my nerdiness. The encylcopedia is very durable and hardy; the volumes are hardcovered and kept together by a box, so they won't get ruined any time soon. Each lettered section in the encyclopedia is separated from the previous one by a full page photo, which is a nice touch. It contains a large variety of photos in general on every page which, like the first encyclopedia, makes the book more fun to look through. It is also MUCH heavier than it looks, so be aware of that when pulling it out of the shelf when you go buy it, if you do. It is, in my view, well worth the price.

    Best encyclopedia set EVER!

    This is by far the most in depth Star Wars encyclopedia set ever up to and including the transformation of Jacen Solo to Darth Caedus. It has references to everything in the Star Wars universe including TV specials, comic book stories (current and from the 80's), the Clone Wars, and even non Lucasfilm authorized books! Wow! A must for any die-hard fan! My son loves to bring me his figures and we look each one up and read about that character.

    An excellent and concise encyclopedia of the complete Star Wars Universe.

    I bought this for my son and he loves it. This is one of those encyclopedias that will get your child reading more. It is laid out with the adult in mind however so I find it suitable for both of us and a fun challenge for my boy always stimulating questions and interesting enough for him to read more.This will expand his vocabulary ten fold.

    Nice addition

    The Encyclopedia is full of Star Wars facts and pictures that weren't available before. It's a must have for the hardcore Star Wars fan, but the price is a bit high.

    GOOD FOR BROWISING CHARACTERS

    I gave it to my Grandson for Christmas, he is a Star Wars fanatic. He carries the books wherever he goes. He loves reading and browsing through it. In other words HE LOVES IT!

    Excellent Reference, but it could have been more

    The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia was more or less as-advertised. It was a thorough compilation of the Star Wars Universe, including the 6 feature movies, TV movies (Ewok movies), comic series, and the extensive Star Wars novel collection (I'm not certain whether the cartoon series 'Droids' was included). My biggest complaint...it could have had many more visuals. Typical encyclopedias have large photos as well as smaller pictures. Yes there were many small shots, head shots of characters, etc., but very, very few large photos. The page of various lightsabers and another featuring various sith lords were excellent, but there were very few others included. More head-to-head comparisons of starships, or planets, or aliens, or weapons would have been much appreciated; instead, more of the info was presented more piecemeal, with a small photo and paragraph of info for every starship, every planet, etc., making it tedious to make my own head-to-head comparisons because I had to bounce between the three books. Also, inclusion of more behind the scene info would have been nice (like info from the Star Wars RPG), the military hierarchy of the Old Republic, the Empire, the New Republic, etc. They did incorporate quite a bit of info from video game sources. Huge biographies of key figures like Obi-Wan Kenobi & Anakin Skywalker were excellent, but big features were, again, too few. All in all, I'm glad I purchased the book set, but I wish there was more inclusion of other, more visual, Star Wars material.

    Perfect for die hard Star Wars fans

    I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. Not only is it massive in size and information but it's an amazingly beautiful collection. It will definitely keep the reader mesmerized and occupied for hours. It's a great set to have part of your permanent book collection. It's the perfect gift to give for Christmas, birthdays, etc.

    all of star wars

    This book contains all the star wars information that you will need. It has all the characters, weapons and vehicles from all 7 movies. It also has included from the computer games Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Academy and Force Unleashed. It even has some information the the new TV show Star Wars the Clone Wars.
