I read the first edition of this book printed in 1977. This Book Expands upon the exercises and theology of the first. It includes what I would call the very earliest form of Tai Chi. I have practised the Daily exercises routine, and can vouch that they are very effective. I am 36 years old, but most people think I am 20. I also was drinking Saw Palm, and Ginseng before most people ever heard of it. These exercises do work. My favorite is stimulating the eyes, as when they are tired, this makes them feel way better. These are Accupressure exercises that open up your energy flow. I highly reccomend this book.
Firstly, I identify as a skeptic, so when I found this book at my local library I approached it with some reservation, albeit with an open mind. I was pleased to find that the information it contains is reasonable and seems to be (in my non-professional opinion) scientifically sound. I find the exercises to be very relaxing and helpful, though I have not yet tried any of the dietary/supplement suggestions. The content is well organized and easy to understand, and includes very helpful diagrams. I am new to Tai Chi and other Chinese health practices, so I have found this book to be an invaluable practical guide to this way of healthy living. I would surely recommend this book to anyone looking to learn more about simple and effective ways to feel and live better.
