The Complete Works of O Henry

Introduction : The complete works of O Henry is a collage of all of O Henry's (William Sydney Porter's) works. It is a large book, containing 286 short stories, novellas, and poems. These 286 works are divided into 14 books, and the works within each book are related to each other.

Description and summary of main points: The 14 books that make up this large volume are, respectively, The Four Million, The Heart of the West, The Gentle Grafter, Roads of Destiny, Cabbages and Kings, Options, Sixes and Sevens, Rolling Stones, Poems, Whirligigs, The Voice of the City, The Trimmed Lamp, Strictly Business, and Waifs and Strays. 13 of these books are made up of short stories and novellas. The only exception is book 9, Poems.

Evaluation: The Complete works of O Henry is an excellent book. I enjoyed reading the collage of stories. However, there are a few things that may discourage you from reading this book. First, this book is large. It is about 1700 pages long. Also, O Henry lived during the late 1800s and early 1900s, so his stories are often dated and occasionally hard to relate to.

Conclusion: O Henry was a very good author, and he is often claimed as the master of the short story with a surprise ending. I enjoy his works.

Final review: I liked this book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes classical and old style literature, and who is willing to read such a large book.

    Highly recommended

This has been a very enjoyable book to read. Lots of irony and witticism, short stories that are fun to read.

    Awfully formatted

When you charge money for a public domain book, you should make sure it is decently formatted. Otherwise, it looks like a scam.
