Overview

Over 150,000 Words of Robert E. Howard Classics! Here are some of the earliest adventures of Conan straight from the pages of the legendary pulp, Weird Tales. Thrill to the deadly perils the giant Cimmerian faces from the "Shadows in Zamboula," the "Jewels of Gwahlur," "Red Nails," and eight other classics of sword and sorcery. This is Conan as Robert E. Howard meant him to be! The iron-muscled barbarian is no superhero in a fur girdle, nor is he a gentlemen. Howard's Conan is brave, strong and cunning--but also greedy, rapacious, opportunistic and self-serving. No one today writes stories as gripping, full-blooded and savage as the 1930s Texas writer, Robert E. Howard. Cover art: original 1930s magazine cover for Conan story The Devil in Iron by Brundage.

You've got to love Robert E Howard's Conan! Of course Robert E Howard is going to score high with me here. As an avid REH and Conan fan I give this little mobile ebook 4 out of 5 stars. Ive come close to reading at least all of Howards Conan as well as many of the Fantasy Classic authors like Tolkien If you like fast paced action of the sword and sorcery type, you've come to the right place. As the crowned father of S&S Fantasy Robert E Howard's Stories will satisfy. I really can not say too much bad about the ebook format and download as well. Everything is as stated. The Weird Tales cover art work comes with the ebook download, but thats is it, most likley all that was provided for the ebook. Theres no intro or preface or index. However there is a good table of contents that breaks the stories into functional chapter tabs for stories that were originally written in chapter form, which is a good addition. I must say that there is a nice stack of Howard's Conan here in this very affordable ebook. I was expecting 3-4 stories but there were quit a few more. As far as stories included are: FROST GIANTS DAUGHTER THE GOD IN THE BOWL THE TOWER OFTHE ELEPHANT ROUGES IN THE HOUSE QUEEN OF THE BLACK COAST BLACK COLOSSUS A WITCH SHALL BE BORN SHADOWS IN ZAMBOULA THE DEVIL IN IRON THE PEOPLE OF THE BLACK CIRCLE THE SLITHERING SHADOW Not Bad for a $6-7 download...just make sure you got a phone or device with a nice screen! Enjoy...
