Meet the Author

REID, author, playwright, architect and MIT grad, received his MA in Anthropology and History from Sonoma State University. His plays and an opera have been performed in San Francisco and elsewhere in the Bay Area. His study of cross-currents of American and Tlingit cultures, American Ethos in 19th Century Alaska, can be found in major university libraries. His first novel, The Connected, examines a world ruled by telepathy in the year 2025. Khrushchev Waved to Me is a recent memoir about well-known people Reid has bumped into along the way. The Year of the Tiger is a trilogy of short novels about the California Gold Country, bootlegging in the Adirondacks and weird conduct in West Coast Mendocino County. Reid lives in Northern California with his wife Linda Loveland Reid, painter, stage director and novelist.
