A.B. Yehoshua is arguably the best of all Israeli writers of prose fiction. Though I do not know all of his work, the one work of his I know , which seems to me most powerful, moving, and beautiful is the title story of this collection. In this story in which he chronicles the relation between an aging writing and his retarded son there is a very deep sense of human connection and feeling, a sympathy with suffering , a love. This is a work of real beauty, and highly recommended. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
