Meet the Author

George lives in Timmins, a small Northern Ontario city with his wife Louise and their collection of furry kids. He writes both horror and high fantasy. His works Include the epic horror trilogy...The Converging Series...the new stand alone epic horror...The Circle of the Witch and The first two volume of the epic Fantasy Series...Journey through the Land of Shades.

I would like to give something back to those who have purchased and enjoyed his novels. To this end, I would like to offer a series of Signature Cards.

What is a signature card? It is a 4 x 6 inch card on durable poster stock. The face of the card holds the book cover image and the reverse side has the novel’s teaser and my website address…and sufficient space where I can personalize the card for readers.
I have created one of these cards for each of my novels, so if you would like a no cost personalized card…select one or more of the Signature Cards and send me an e-mail along with your mailing address and the name you would like to have me sign to…and I’ll send a card your way. The e-mail address for this Signature Card Request would be Amberdias@persona.ca

Must read for dark horror fans

Once again Author George Straatman's novels have proven to be a definite treat for those that like their horror dark and unrelenting. "The Conversion: Closures in Blood" does not just pick up where the other two novel in this series left off and give us more of the same. In this third volume the horrors are more powerful, the consequences of failure more grave. Mr. Straatman juxtaposes the quest of one woman's journey seeking to atone for the evils of her past, with a growing nightmare of multiple forces converging to end her existence. With each chapter the stakes grow unremittingly until the fate of the world is in the balance. In the final analysis this woman must stand against the fury of the ultimate evil for the sake of her life, the lives of her friends and family, and the future of all of mankind. This is a book that will stay with you and haunt your thoughts long after the final page has been turned.
