I consider myself a good cook and chef and love spending time in the kitchen making food for my just my husband and I or friends & family when we entertain. This book has made life easy when I'm not in the mood to be creative. The choices are healty and a good variety. 10, 20, or 30 minute choices in both appetizers, salads, soups, main courses, 7 desserts. They call for good quality ingredients and include a variety of cuisines. Our favorites are any of the salads, carrot & apple soup, hummus, tandori chicken, cajun chicken, cauliflower soup, and more. To make my life simpler, my husband has gone through and marked his favorites! I have probably a hundred cookbooks but this is the one I use the most. There are color photographs of every recipe making choosing something easy. The dishes have always turned out great and seem gourmet even though they were easy to make. Some of the dishes take longer than the time specified when you add in the prep time of cutting up and measuring things. But other than that, they really are quick to make.
