Overview

It'll take a tall, hot Texan and a little holiday spirit to mend a broken heart and catch a Christmas killer . . .?

Savanna Edwards is feeling downright Scrooge-like. Who can blame her? A truly unjolly Santa-suit, beard and all-just repossessed her car because of her ex's shady business dealings. She'd like to murder the no-good lying cheat, but somebody already did that for her-and left him right in the middle of her kitchen, wrapped up with a bow.??

Detective Mark Donaldson has a rule against getting involved with his neighbors. He can look-and he's studied every sweet curve of Savanna from across the street-but he can't touch. So when she lands on his doorstep in need of help, he finds himself torn between being naughty or nice, and fights every urge to unwrap her like a shiny new Christmas present. ??

Trouble is, even Mark can't resist a little holiday magic . . . and there's definitely something magical happening between him and the girl next door.

Meet the Author

New York Times bestselling author Christie Craig grew up in Alabama, where she caught lightning bugs, ran barefoot, and regularly rescued potential princes, in the form of bullfrogs, from her brothers. Today, she's still fascinated with lightning bugs, mostly wears shoes, but has turned her focus to rescuing mammals and hasn't kissed a frog in years. She now lives in Texas with her four rescued cats, one dog-who has a bad habit of eating furniture-a son, and a prince of a husband who swears he's not, and never was, a frog.

If Christie isn't writing, she's reading, sipping wine, or just enjoying laughter with her friends and family. As a freelance writer, Christie has over 3,000 national credits, as well as three works of nonfiction, including the humorous self-help/relationship book Wild, Wicked & Wanton: 101 Ways to Love Like You're in a Romance Novel. Christie writes humorous romance novels for Grand Central, as well as the New York Times bestselling Shadow Falls series, under the pen name C. C. Hunter. I wished I would have known to read Gotcha first because even though I enjoyed this book and recommend it as a very good read with lots of romance, humor and a mystery, I felt a little lost at times, like something was missing. Than I discovered Gotcha, the book before this book. Maybe it's because I read a lot of series and it just felt like the secondary characters in this book had their own story before. So I will be reading Gotcha which I already purchased and than finish this one because it is a good book. JudyE

What a fun book. Christie Craig has done it again: lots of laughs, lots of romance, lots of suspense. It was nice to catch up with Mark Donaldson from "Gotcha." Just what I needed to put me in the holiday spirit.

It was a great and funny book, but the ending totally sucked. Definitely could have made it better, but good book overall just found it a bit short. I liked when jake and macy were mentioned in the book from her first book Gotcha liked past characters coming up in other books.

I liked it but way too short. I feel Mark got ripped off. I love her books but was disappointed in this one because it started out awesome then just ended. Not what I expected. Maybe we can hear about Bethany and Tom and then we can get more???

I always enjoy Craig's books. They're not high literature, but they are fun and funny. This one was a bit violent for all the cheerfulness, but otherwise, I truly enjoyed it.

I usually recommend Christie Craig to everyone but, this book fell a little flat. I feel like i was reading her book (Only in Texas) which i loved, and highly recommend! If you have read Only in Texas I would stay away from this book. They both have the cop that falls for the accused victim, the cops conflict with trusting due to their ex, the women having flash backs, and basically the same throw up scene. Which you would understand if you read Only in Texas. This book had a few things different but not much. It was shorter, again not a great thing. I liked the killer concept, just wish the story had a little more and set it apart from her others. So intern i would read all her other books but, maybe leave this one be.

Just when you think you've heard it all... The characters in The Cop Who Stole Christmas get themselves in so many prediciments without even trying. And Christie has you laughing the whole time she is working them out of the problems they get themselves into. One page and you will be permanently hooked on Christie!

This was the first book of Christie Craig's that I've ever read

This was the first book of Christie Craig's that I've ever read and I LOVED it! The chemistry between Savanna and Mark is believable and not overdone in the least. I also loved the scenes where Savanna hangs out with her friends. Her friends are caring, but also sassy and blunt about the advice they give her. This is such an excellent book. It isn't too focused on the holidays, so I wouldn't really call it a holiday romance, but who cares? The book is awesome and highly recommend it. The Cop Who Stole Christmas was an excellent read.

Savanna Edwards was having a bad day. Her car was repo’d by Santa and she finally met her sexy cop neighbor while sporting a blue facial mud mask and mayonnaise hair. But that was nothing compared to coming home to find her ex in her kitchen – dead – with a red ribbon tied around his Mister Willie.

Hunky homicide cop Mark Donaldson has had his eye on neighbor Savanna for a while but he has a rule about getting his meat where he gets his bread. He’s reconsidering that when Savanna rouses him one evening declaring “I need you.”
Savanna’s ex isn’t the only gift-wrapped body this Christmas. And Mark needs to solve the mystery quick before another body shows up under the tree.

THE COP WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS is Christie Craig’s second story in the Tall, Hot & Texan series. Craig does another knock out job balancing mystery, humor an enough steam to cook a bushel of beans in this short novel.
Give yourself a gift with THE COP WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS today.
