Plenty, three friends soon learn, trapped in the company town of Boot Hill. If they can somehow get a trainload of boots over the mountains to the Big City, they could be rich - richer than they ever dreamed.

But in an alternate 1973, Global Warming has brought the world to a standstill and the use of all carbon fuels is tightly restricted. The few means of transportation left are dominated by a corporate behemoth known as the Concession. Store shelves sit empty as shortages run rampant.

But Beanie, Fluky and Mitty have a plan: just one freight car full of boots, across the mountains, and they could be rich...
