This book was outstanding. Its written so well that you never want to but the book down. This book is written around a man named Edmond Dantes he had just came home from a long deployment. He was welcomed back to his father, his lover mercedes and a new rank as captain as the Pharon. He had it all until courtesy of jealousy from his friends ruined it all and got him thrown into the prison the Chateau D'If. After he was in here for many years till he was able to escape. He then encountered many adventures along the years. He was determined to get revenge on the ones who got him thrown in jail and that is just what he did. Since no one recognized him since he was many years older from when they first new him he was able to be a different person, he was now The Count of Monte Cristo. This is a really well written book, once you start reading it you don't want to stop. This book is recommended to anyone who wants to read a book that won't disappoint them and makes them want to keep reading. -Nirvana Almada
