    After having Read his other works on the history of the U.S.Rangers, I found compelled to read 'ret' LTC, John D Lock's 'The Coveted Black and Gold' a personal daily narrative into his own experiences in Ranger School. [the real no BULL story] Just a great book!!

    Good book but outdated

    I thought it was a good read but outdated since the writer attended Ranger School 20+ years ago. An update is long overdue.
