I'm a stay-at-home mom of four school-aged boys and the proud wife of a veteran of the US Air Force. I live in a small Nebraska town where I am fortunate to spend my days creating new worlds with characters I fall in love with.     Where's the story?

    I have read many of her books, and when this review said "short-story" it should have said, "8 pages of good-thing-it's free." I have never seen a book try to cram an entire story in a few pages, and it just leaves you hanging. What a waste.

    I didn't get it

    I have read a bunch of this author's books and really like her work, but when I got done reading this, I felt like the story should have kept going. It seemed like I got a chapter and was missing the rest of the book.

    WAAAAAAY TOO SHORT

    So wheres the book huh? Just leaves u wondering wait its OVER??? Whered the story go? Not great. Waste of time and nook space.

    Waste

    You might want to reconsider

    When they said it was a short story they did not lie. It is like 8 pages with not much of a story line.

    I was enjoying the story

    Well, as much as one can enjoy abt 15 pages. I read the last sentence, went to turn the page snd there was no more story! I felt ripped off! Since tje author decided to quit, don't even start, even tho' it's free.

    Too short

    This is an incomplete story and needs to be expanded. The author is great, but these chatacters need serious development. Seventeen pages is not enough to do that.

    So So

    This short story is ok. I really enjoy Ruth Ann Nordin. Just about everything I have read so far that I've read from her has been worth reading. This one on the other hand leaves much to the imagination and not enough oomph. But I would definatly recommend Ruth Ann Nordin's other books like A Bride for Tom. That was a good one.

    Horrible!

    Do not waste the three minutes it takes to read this. It's as if it's an excerpt from a longer, very bad sci-fi story, and makes no sense.
