Overview

An Independent Young Woman

Tori McCade is bound and determined to earn her degree and return home to practice veterinary medicine in Salt Fork, Texas. Nothing and no one can stop her, not even the hottest man she's ever met in her life.

A man who knows what he wants

Sam Garza meets the much younger Tori McCade in a dance club in Dallas, Texas, and all bets are off. He wants her, and he's going to have her . . . even if it means following her to Salt Fork. Both agree they need to keep things simple and uncomplicated. And he's okay with that . . . for now.

EXCERPT:

Tori's breath stalled in her lungs as her back lay nestled against Sam's solid-muscled chest. She felt his lips on her hair, his kiss burning her scalp. Hot prickles of desire infused her blood, and she couldn't help tilting her head forward, wanting to feel his lips on her skin. He was quick to oblige, trailing kisses across the nape of her neck and collarbone.

Suddenly, he twirled her around and Tori looked up at him. He really was a brutally handsome man, his features hard as granite. She fleetingly wondered how a man who looked so fierce, so feral, could scatter such gentle kisses across her sensitive skin. How a man who had uprooted his whole life so he could help his sick mother--how could such a man look at her with such intense yearning? Such hot passion?

Sam's eyes dilated beneath heavy lids. He bent toward her, stopping only millimeters from her mouth. His breath was hot on her lips. Tori's stomach dipped in an alarming manner.

"I'm going to kiss you." His voice was rough with desire. "I've been wanting to kiss you from the first moment I saw you at the bar."

He yanked her into his strong arms and gathered her close. He was warm and hard and very aroused. Before Tori could say or do anything, his mouth crushed down on hers in a hungry savage kiss.

    Simply great read

This was such a great read. If any woman found a man that was just as great as Sam the need to hold on to him. I don't know many men what would do what he did for her. The chemistry between Tori & Sam was instant and while reading it you felt it. Sexy steamy love scense. I laught & I cried through this book. I sad to know that this is the last book of the series. Great Job Ms Novark!!

    A beautiful love story!

Sam and Tori's story was beautiful. I loved how Anne Marie Novark gave us their backstory and it made it that much more special for the reader or it did for me. Tori had had her life planned out from the beginning and just couldn't see Sam being a part of that. Sam was so head over heels in love with Tori he was unwilling to give up on them. Their story was one of love and patience until the end when the author worked her magic to bring them together. Great series and can't wait to see what is in store next. Highly recommend!

    Loved It

I have read all of the Diamondback Ranch series and as all the others this one did not disappoint. I recommend that anyone who loves cowboys/cowgirls give this book a read. Hot and steamy as always, Anne Marie does not disappoint.

    Frustrating

    ## Not good. The synopsis sounded amazing. I loved how they met, how much Sam wanted Tori and their age difference. It all "sounded" perfect. However, I was disappointed as soon as I read the prologue. It already told us the ending. Chapter one then stated: "Five years earlier". I really hated that. And the way the heroine jerked him around for 5 years? Come on. Who would put up with that? And after making him wait 5 years, she says "I just need a little more time". In what universe is this woman living? Sam should've kicked this chick to the curb. I won't be reading again.
