    NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/4
    A broken heart
    A death and curse....

When you live in the dark for so long it is easy to give up faith of ever seeing the sun again. But when the chance at freedom presence itself Ronan is willing to do anything to gain his freedom again.

Meg knows about heartbreak and distrust. While she was never giving a second chance, Meg is willing to give Ronan a chance to live.

    And maybe love?

The Craving is first novella in Donna Grant’s new the Rouges of Scotland series. This was a great story. And like any good novella it left me wanting more and because this was a novella I am going to leave you wanting more with my review. If you love Donna’s historical stories you will really want to grab a copy of this novella!!! I am already looking forward to the next novella in this series

    Disclaimer:

This is the first book in Donna's Rogues of Scotland series and WOW! I realize its a fast read and all, but I so loved this book.
Ronan and meg both have trust issues when it pertains to the opposite sex. This book was so amazing to get to read as we went through the repair of the two working together to prove that everything has a reason.
I loved that this wasn't instant romance either though! I have been getting quite bored with man meets woman, woman is swept off her feet, love at first sight, HEA.. So the way Donna kept us on our toes with this one was very lovely.
After the end of Donna's Dark Warrior Series, I was looking forward to this book as I can never get enough of Donna's Scottish Highlanders *SWOON*
Anywho... There is quite a bit I have guessed to be coming up in the next books but that is okay because it makes me want NEED more!!
I give this book 5 out of 5 shields!!

I received an eArc from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:
    *eARC received from the author

The Craving was a sweet and sexy tale - Gypsy curses, hot men in kilts, medieval castles, and the kind of love that comes as a surprise,
burrows deep within without being recognized, and then blossoms unexpectedly in breathtaking fashion.

I loved that both Meg and Ronan had some major issues with trust, and yet they grew with one another and learned to let someone else in
    while healing along the way.

I also loved that though this was a novella, it never once felt rushed to me. The story was gripping, and the flow perfectly paced to a
    wonderful story.

    An easily earned 4 skulls!

Anyone submitting more than one star is a plant. Donna Grant should hang her head in shame - duping her fans into buying this book. It was predictable, amateurish and a waste of money.  Here's the story: Rowan gets cursed by an old gypsy for having sex and not marrying a young girl who kills herself as a result. He's cursed to live in a black hole until he changes his ways. Which means he must realize that not all women are evil, manipulative and playthings. He is freed twice before this story starts but is cast back inside because he hasn't learned that lesson yet. Meg comes along - after being left at the alter - frees Ronan. She wants nothing of him - they learn to trust/love each other, and of course they had sex (virgin taken by highlander - horribly and written). She ends up trusting him...he ends up loving her so they "fix" each other. Curse is broken. If this post appears - you won't have to waste your money on the book. Note: I love Donna's other books. But there is no need to put this awful stuff out just because you can dupe  your fans into buying it .

The Craving is a steamy and quick romance story with magic, love

The Craving is a steamy and quick romance story with magic, love and adventure. This is a nice start to a new series.

The Craving is the first book of the Rogues of Scotland series, a story of 4 best friends that are cursed.  The curse is their punishment for a causing harm to a Gypsy.  The Craving is the story of Ronan, who is the main cause of the curse. After 200 years of being trapped in darkness he is released by Meg Alpin.  Meg has been living a lonely life after a betrayal.  The loneliness and lack of trust are what Ronan and Meg have in common.  But the curse brought them together and they both must accept the past and have courage to move forward.

I am a huge fan of author Donna Grant and The Craving has the romance and excitement that I expect from her books.  But because it is a novella I did feel there was some passion in the story missing. Perhaps if it was a little bit longer there would have been the sizzling chemistry of the characters that I loved from her Druid’s Glen series.

Overall I did like the story.  This is perfect for romance fans that want a quick read to add some excitement for their day.

    Short Stories

While these are short they are to the point. I have enjoyed reading this series. The men in all of her books are dreamy and this series is no different. Where are the men like these? LoL

Donna Grants first in her new series Rogues of Scotland and she does not disappoint.  The one thing I love about Donna is her unique way of portraying love stories with a twist.

I love how she intertwines the Scotland highlander with the a Gypsy curse, as it creates such a captivating story that you can not put down.  I definitely want more!!  This is another one of Donna's series that is going to be amazing!!  True to her nature...the story will only get better!!

    4 1/2 Stars

The Craving is a historical romance with a magical twist and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Ronan is your typical happy go lucky guy, a man out for a good time with no thought to the consequences of his actions until one day when he crosses a Gypsy family and he is subsequently cursed. Meg is a young girl with issues and when fate brings her and Ronan to each other they both must left go of the past if they want to achieve happiness together.

I truly enjoyed this tale, both characters have been wronged by the consequences of others actions and they need to move past it if they want to have a future together, if such a thing is even possible. I don't really want to give anything away but when you have Donna writing a Scottish tale with hints of magic you know you are in for a treat and this was a strong introduction to a new series that has me eager for the next instalment!

There's magic in Scotland where ever you look good and evil. So

There's magic in Scotland where ever you look good and evil. So when you wrong a gypsy beware. Ronan is cursed for a death he didn't commit. Meg has had her heart and her giving, trusting nature broken. Can a curse heal two people or condemn them to loneliness forever? This short story is a fabulous start to a new series. I can't wait for "The Hunger".
I was given this book by the author in return for my honest review.
