About the Author

Todd-Michael St. Pierre is a south Louisiana native, who has served as a judge for the Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest. He's the author of many children's books, and has contributed, as a writer, to elementary and middle school textbooks published by Oxford University Press, MacMillan and Harper/Collins. Lee Brandt Randall, a classroom art teacher for nearly thirty years, also loves to create her own surrealist art, make puppets of all types and sized, and designs outlandish costumes for Baton Rouge's "Krewe of Yazoo Precision Lawn Mower Drill Team." Makin' Groceries is one of six books she has illustrated for Todd-Michael.

Emily Randall is an artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Emily now resides in Edinburgh, Scotland where she does design and illustration work and is the visual coordinator for a local community arts charity.
