I love my Crystal Bible but, it's not the best if you are just entering the world of crystals & healing. If you have no clue what a crystal is that you you have in hand, it'll be hard to figure out what it is with this book. I am a strong believer in multiple sources. So I use my crystal bible in conjunction with several other books. The Encyclopedia of Crystals & the Crystal Therapy.

Many crystal books are titled as encyclopedia or some other broad ranging term that means all encompassing. However, The Crystal Bible, volumes one and two actually seem to cover 99% of existing and used healing crystals. It is absolutely wonderful to have as a reference, especially for beginners. With great descriptions and a variety of pictures, it is spot on for those who learn by seeing or by reading. Volume one and two are the only crystal reference books I recommend to anyone doing crystal healing. Other books are great when learning how to heal, but none go as in depth about the various forms and types of crystals. A must have for beginners and seasoned healers alike.

Personally I prefer Crystal Guide Pocket Edition which I have on Android. I find the Crystal Bible to be quite lacking in geological data and it seems to use a lot of unrecognised alternative names for the crystals - why when there are established/approved names?¿

I found this book, The Crystal Bible, so helpful and informative in my quest for stones to work with in healing and meditation that I bought a copy of it for my stepdaughter on her birthday. Its size is small enough to slip into a tote to take to the gem and mineral shows for a quick peak. Amazing - a very handy reference - a lot of information in a very compact book.

I have owned a copy for several years. Bought one for a friend as a gift along with a couple of crystals to get her started.

This Book is very informative, I actually bought a second copy to be used as a reference tool at my Table where I will be selling different pieces of jewelry with crystals and stones.

My daughter and I read through the book, not only did we find it helpful, but really educational. She and I love to collect crystals, and different rocks, this helped us to sort through them properly. Also what we thought we knew about different crystals, there was so much more to learn.

As soon as I found this book, I exitedly read through the pages, and just as exitedly bought it. It is without doubt the best reference to crystals I have ever laid eyes on. Fully colored pictures of all the stones make this book very eye apealing, and full easy to understand details make it a quick refernce. If you do not understand some wording, there is a glossary to figure out what the words mean. I Doubt ill have to buy another crystal book for a very long time.

I have used this book to teach classes on crystals and gemstones. The illustrations are fantastic, what you need sometimes to identify a gemstone. This is my first pick for a book to know what you are looking at, and why.

I have been working with crystals for quite a while now (over 10 years). So, I have accumulated quite a few books on the subject of crystals. I must say that this is one of the best reference books I have come across. I haven't purchased a crystal book in quite a long time, because there were no good new books. But, then I ordered this one and was pleasantly surprised. Very good pictures and good, basic information. Highly recommended for anyone trying to learn more about the properties of various crystals.
