Overview

The Curse of Blessings is a paradox. It is a tale of utter simplicity that expresses life's most complex truths. It is a story that can be read in a sitting, but which will stay with you forever. It is life--distilled to its purest element--while revealing the world in all its richness and wonder. The Curse of Blessings takes four characters on a journey that will transform them--or not--depending on what they are willing to let themselves hear.

Once in a generation a book comes along that is able to convey universal truths and wisdom within the simplest of frameworks. Like Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Celestine Prophecy before it, The Curse of Blessings is just such a book. With a haunting, lyrical touch, Mitchell Chefitz presents a teaching tale that is at once disturbing, profound and inspiring-for those who are willing to listen. The Curse of Blessings can reveal nothing....or it can show you everything. The choice is yours.

    Excellent reading, excellent insights

One of the most fascinating books with short stories that move our soul into a different dimention of being. I loved The curse of Blessings because it made me repeat the entire story to my family... I actually made 2 stories being part of one - and it made sense to me... for we are angry at certain things we have no idea why, and it made complete sense... Congratualtions Mr. Chefits for putting forth such a wonderful tale.

Stories Woven from the Fabric of Soul

¿Precious¿ is not a word I use often, but that¿s what I find this collection of stories to be. I keep it with me, open it from time to time, and always find something to inspire me. At the moment, it¿s the story ¿Gabriel¿s Horn.¿ I have found in this story healing for my soul. It is a story to meditate on. Chefitz has woven stories from the fabric of soul. They wear well.

    A Blessing Indeed

The Curse of Blessings is a remarkable book... 96 pages of brilliant writing and transforming thinking. I read each of the 10 stories wanting them to go on longer, yet anxious to read the next story, and the next. Mitchell Chefitz has crafted stories worth the telling, and retelling. Several of the stories made such an impact on me that I've come back to them for a second time, and have shared the book with both friends and family. Not only is this a 5-star book, but it could influence generations of readers.

    The Blessing of Stories

Mitch Chefitz spins stories in elegant prose, stories that open the mind, stir the senses, and move the heart, the blessings of stories. The truths in these stories shine without preaching or any judgmentalness, though with great discrimation. The stories light up many areas of human experience and consciousness and invite the reader to return soon and often. I know I will.
