Meet the Author

Linda Palmer loves, loves, loves to write and always has, starting with poetry in grade school on up to full-length novels by the time she was married. Though she never quit her day jobs, she did join a writer's group that motivated her to submit her work to publishers. Silhouette Books published Linda's first romance novel in l989 and the next twenty over a ten year period (writing as Linda Varner). In 1999 she took a break to take care of her family. She learned that she couldn't not write and began again, changing her genre to young adult/new adult paranormal romance. She has full-length novels out as e-reads and in print and there are always more in the works. She also has many novellas and short stories available. She loves Ed Sheeran and YA dystopian books and movies, especially when there is a romantic relationship at the heart of the action. Linda was a Romance Writers of America finalist twice and won the 2011 and 2012 EPIC eBook awards in the Young Adult category. She married her junior high school sweetheart many years ago and lives in Arkansas, USA with her family. Her website is www.lindavpalmer.com. A review of The Curse of Willow Lane by DayDreamingBookGirl I really liked this short story, it was adorable. Linda Palmer is really good at writing short stories, she gives you enough info so it doesn't feel rushed but the ending leaves the option of the two characters open and obvious enough that you're grinning like an idiot when you're done with it. Now be aware that it's only 17 pages long, but it's a really fun read if you've got 99c to spare. Now I would rate this book PG13 because of some swearing (2 F bombs), and a reference to homosexuality (one of her friends but it's not to the extent of awkwardness, there's probably only a short paragraph about it) Petal, our heroine was really fun, she was very affectionate towards her younger brothers and animals alike,, and of course Aiden was adorable even if he wasn't in there very long you still loved him pretty quick. J This isn't the first short story I've read by Linda Palmer, I downloaded her free short story off her website which I actually liked slightly better for two reasons. 1) it was longer and 2) it was longer. J lol I liked hanging out with the characters for a little longer. It's called "Sister Golden Hair Surprise and The Cruiser" It's 28 pages and an even cuter read. If you want to experiment with Linda Palmer I would highly recommend reading it first. I bet you'll love it. All you have to do is go to her website and go under her works. I would post the link but B&N won't let me. lol So go read some Linda Palmer, she's a fantastic YA author with awesome stories that have paranormal twists! Over all I really enjoyed The Curse Of Willow Lane and will definitely read this fun short story again. I bet you would too So go ahead and buy it. You won't regret it. :)
