Meet the Author

Fred White is an Associate Professor at Santa Clara University in California, where he has taught since 1980. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from the University of Minnesota (1967, 1973) and his Ph.D. in English from the University of Iowa (1980). He is the author of The Essential John Muir (SCU, 2006), The Well-Crafted Argument, 2nd edition (Houghton Mifflin, 2005), and Lifewriting (Quill Driver Books, 2004).

    Daily reflections for writers

    I enjoy reading these daily reflections for writers. The author offers good insights into the craft. I do not do the exercises as I am working on my novel . The Daily Writer is a great reminder to write because that is what writers do.
