    Disappointing

it was far less than expected... very few pictures, not all sections, no crossword, comics...

Good for Local and State news

Pros: State news and local investigations are informative. Cons: Unlike the New York Times, a subscription to the DMN through your Nook does not allow access to the website.

Would not recommend unless the only items you read are the articles.

Tried the two-week trial of DMN and cancelled today. Getting all the articles was good, but the e-version lacked obituaries, ads, weather, some items in the Today section like the puzzles, comics, etc. Also in the sports section it did not have the box scores

Great paper-- solution to trouble getting it on the color Nook

This is a wonderful newspaper and the primary reason I purchased a color Nook. In my original review I noted problems with getting the newspaper downloaded promptly to my color Nook. Since I noted that some other people were also having this problem, here's the solution offered by the tech support (which I finally got through to): on the bottom left side of the page there is a "sync" button--had two circular arrows in a box. Pressing this button should bring in your newspaper, etc. Worked for me.

    Not enough content

When I subscribed, I thought this would have as much content as the printed paper. It does not. I am extremely disappointed in the limited content and the amount of money being charged for this online version.

    Here's What You Get

The e-version for the Sunday edition DMN contains the following sections: News, Metro, Sports Day, Business, Guide Daily, Travel, and Points. At the beginning of each section is a list of the articles with links to jump right to the selected article. The BN descriptions stated there was no crossword puzzles included and no Parade magazine insert but it did not mention about the all important Comic section. So, fans of the Sunday comics will be disappointed that the comic section is not included.

    Go News!

Hey, I'm a purist. I have been reading the print edition of the DMN for 38 years. It is a phenomenal newspaper. I thought I would try the Nook version. But there is nothing like the feel of newsprint in the morning! I lament the inevitable demise of print media, and hope that journalism can survive the digital age. For those who are not addicted to newsprint, this is a decent alternative, although I wish it could be formatted more like the print version, like the subscriber edition online is.
