    Fantastic Recipes!

    The revolutionary book, The Daniel Fast by the husband and wife team, John and Ann Marie Cavazos, will help thousands of people who suffer from gluten and dairy allergies. The book is based on a diet inspired by the biblical story of Daniel and his army who fasted on vegetables and became a stronger and more energetic force! Whether you are religious or not, this books contains many great recipes for vegetarians, vegans, or dairy- and gluten-intolerant individuals.

    I love that the book offers suggestions for modifying the recipes to include healthy grains if you can't live without your carbs and they take time to explain some of the more "exotic" ingredients that may be used in the recipes. This makes the recipes more practical for the everday family and easy to recreate at home. I especially found the following recipes very intriguing:

    * Spaghetti Squash Bowls
    * Cabbage wraps with sweet potatoes
    * Vegetable shephard's pie
    * Quinoa-Pecan salad with raisins and cranberries
    * Broccoli and spinac quiche

    I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking to cut back on carbs and/or dairy in your diet!
