I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The Dant

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The Dante Connection by Estelle Ryan is the second book in a series – a long series, I hope. The first book, The Gauguin Connection was great and I wasn’t sure if the second would be as good. I was wrong – it was better. The writing is superb and the characters grow and evolve. Genevieve Lenard is the main character and she just keeps getting better and better as she learns from her new set of friends. And that is one aspect I really love is that she learns from them and they learn from her. No judgements allowed. Colin and Vinnie and Francine and Manny are wonderful people. Not characters in a book – they seem like real people. I love their interactions. This is a great book. Buy it…you will not be disappointed.

If you like a character of high intellect who says what is on her mind you will like Genevieve Lenard in this excellent series by Estelle Ryan. Genevieve reminds me of Temperance Brennan in Kathy Reich's books (Bones TV series) but who is into computers and the psychology of body language rather than dead bodies.
Excellent series - I highly recommend them!!!!

    Unusual Mystery series

This is the second book in the series by Estelle Ryan where she draws on knowledge about the world of art collecting, big time art collecting! Find out how forgeries are identified and works of art restored to major countries that were looted during W.W. II.
The autistic protagonist learns how to deal with the daily struggles of her own compulsions and learns how to establish social relationships through her struggles. For readers who have to deal with people on the autistic spectrum, this book is insightful as to how the high functioning brain and accomplish so many tasks that ordinary people would judge to be unthinkable. Solving the crimes and actions of despicable crooks is the icing on the cake to reveal the character development...one layer at a time. Read all 5 books, best in the order published.

    Highly recommended!

I love this series about a highly functioning autistic genius who gets mixed up with a motley crew of misfits who help her understand how to interact socially with other people while solving crimes. I'm looking forward to reading subsequent books in the series...

Highly Recommended - an unusual protagonist

Genevieve Lenard, a nonverbal language expert, returns to battle the archfiend Kubanov, who she bested in book one. He's back for revenge! Estelle Ryan does an exceptional job keeping Genevieve in character, reacting to the world as only one with Aspergers would. She's great at making the connections between clues and refuses to theorize. No guessing!

    Fascinating

This is the 1st book I've read in this series and I am so enjoying it. We all know about autism in this day and age and its basic characteristics, but this story shows how it plays out in day to day life. Autistic children are growing up and have to deal w/life differently than most of us. The author shows it can be done and what to expect and respect. All placed in an excellent mystery story. Kudos. I'll read more of this series.

Great reading with an unusual, exordinary character!

I have really enjoyed the first two books in this series. They have been great mysteries. But the real mystery is what goes on in Genevieve'a head and how she deals with day to day life. It's made me look at at "different" people, well, differently!
