Meet the Author

A mother of two and a lover of all romance.Writing saved me, but it took a long time for me to pluck the courage necessary to put my stuff out there to be loved or hated. I fall in love with my characters when I write, and though it might sound a little strange, I give them the free will to do as they wish. More than anything, I hope everyone else falls in love with them as well.I love how a story evolves on its own, morphs into something not even I saw coming. If I can leave people entranced, in lust, possibly inflamed, and ultimately in love, then I've accomplished what I set out to do.

I read the daughter of aprodite first ... I was hooked! I had to purchase the whole series to see the result...omg it is non stop with one thing after another. I felt bad for them they just couldn't catch a break! The best fantasy love story in a long time.

I read the whole trilogy in three days. I couldn't stop. I needed to know what was going to happen. I laughed, cried, and chose to read instead of sleep. I would love to read anything more on these characters.

I really like the idea behind the story. However, the author tries too hard to be super descriptive and uses the same words repetitively; especially when describing the interaction between the 2 main characters. Tenses are frequently off and sentences become unwieldy. Did she not have an editor or proofreader? I did finish the book and look forward to seeing if she matures in her writing style in the next series.

I love the trilogy. I couldn't put it down. I would love it if there's another book on the daughter.

This book was by far one of the best books that I have ever read. The author of this book used great terms and key elements from mythology

Great story. Good continuity over the trilogy. Editing was poor... But would love to see more of the minor characters.

Once again, C.M. Owens has written a great story. The characters are well developed and I had no problem diving into the heroine's life. I found myself unable to put the story down. I will miss Adisia and Devin and the whole list of characters. Perhaps stories for each of Adisia and Devin's immortal friends could be written?

I love getting lost in a story and could have easily done so with this trilogy except for the numerous "speed bumps" scattered throughout. I'm hoping the author and her editors read this as constructive critisism rather than a total dissing of their work...as an outside look at something they're so close to that flaws are hard to see. First was the misuse of 'their, there and they're'-- only twice in the entire trilogy did I see these hominyms used correctly. Secondly, the terms "smouldered" and "seduced" were used so extensively to describe a character's speech that I began to wonder if the author knew any other descriptive terms for flirtatious conversation. Finally, what's with the last couple of chapters in the third book? Was there a word count quota to meet? It would've been much better to have Devin's POV bits interspersed with the rest of the stories rather than two brief glimpses while Adisia is unconsious and then this post-epilogue trip back to the very beginning -- for the third time!! I know it sound like I hated these books... I avtually found them quite entertaining and original except for the above-mentioned jolts to smooth reading.

I think you should make the books from devin's point of view. I love these books and I reread them all the time. Im basically sleep deprived.

I got the first book because it was free and it was so good; I had to get the rest. I really enjoyed the story line. It put new twists on mythology, which was refreshing.

Overall, a fast-paced story with fully developed characters. I kept returning to the story to find out what happened next. The main difficulty I had was the poor editing done (in my opinion).

This is the book that you will spend more time negotiating with yourself as to how much sleep you really need a night, or about what REALLY NEEDS to get done and what can wait. Yes, it is THAT good!
