The Day Dad Ran Out of Kissesby Bruce A. Healey, Tanya Stewart
The Gubbins boys were a very normal pair of brothers in a very normal family. They woke up each morning, rushed through breakfast, rushed through dressing, and rushed to get on the school bus. At night before bedtime, Dad would have a special goodnight kiss and hug for them. And Dad would always tell his sons they were so special, and even smelled special! But Dad's affection sometimes seemed like an intrusion, slowing down the brothers' daily pace. So what happened when Dad's kisses stopped? In Bruce A. Healey's charming and educational book for young readers, the Gubbins boys came to understand that they had been rushing around and playing so hard, they hadn't been giving Dad any time or attention. When their mom encouraged them to think about that, and how much they loved their dad, what do you think they did? Complimented by delightful illustrations, this warm, amusing, and heartfelt story will resonate with young readers as well as their parents.
