Meet the Author

I am an eccentric individual with a hobby in writing and drawing. I've been working on original story ideas since I was little, having basic ideas grow along with me. They have far since grown up. Many of my story ideas have been adapted from dreams that I have had. I keep journals of the dreams and even note in the journal whether or not they can be used as individual stories or simply left as they were (as dreams). Some of the other inspiration is found through my other hobbies of watching Japanese anime, reading Japanese manga, and playing Japanese style RPG's. Pretty much, I have an overactive imagination. :) And I enjoy it. My longest story idea is incomplete. I hope to one day share it but it takes time to make it just as I want it to be shared. For now, I hope to share even my minor ideas with you, even if they have flaws. I have a Patreon which is available: https://www.patreon.com/LadyMulti

This short story could have been good, but I was disappointed. I was driven to distraction by the grammar and spelling issues, so that I could not just sit back and enjoy the story. The pace was very slow in the beginning and the ending was too abrupt. There was too little information revealed to the reader regarding the place & time, the characters, their motivations, or the backstory. The plot moved in a disjointed way without explaining much at all. I did not like or dislike the main character, because I did not know or care about her in any meaningful way. She had some kind of power that she was not supposed to have in her world. Then, she randomly decided to investigate a residual, but interactive, memory haunting that happened 17 years ago. Why? How could she interact with a residual memory? It was never explained. I did not know nor care about the, apparently 200+ year old, serial killer. It was too hard to follow and not interesting enough to keep my attention for more than a few pages. In my opinion, this story was too slow and not informative enough. Secondly, I found the large number of grammar and spelling problems frustrating. Every one of the 12 Nook story pages had grammar and spelling errors on it. Of course, the title and legal pages were okay. There were 8 errors on the first page, alone. The biggest problem was that all of these issues distracted me from the storyline. I felt like a highschool English teacher grading an essay into which the student put in two minutes of effort. I know that was harsh, but it needed to be said. A Note for the Author: I would like to offer some constructive criticism. Please, for the love of all that is good, proofread your work before publishing it online. Try to avoid redundancy. I suggest that the author work on some specific English skills when writing anything anywhere. They are as follows: Make changes to awkward sentence structure, so that it makes sense when you read it. Also, use parentheses sparingly. Employ spell check and grammar check or friends often. Pronouns, prepositions, and adverbs need to be used correctly. Keep writing. You have potential. -AvidReader

the idea behind the story was good, but the execution needed a great deal more work.
