She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy...

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice...even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...and it's going to be oh so good

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

I loved this book!  I read it in 2 days and started it as soon as it came out (usually books languish in the TBR pile) . The depth of this book and the characters astounded me.  We are hit with the fact that Hannah was raped in high school (off page) within the first few pages.  Right then I knew this was not only going to be a fun and lighthearted romp.   We see so much of the relationship between Hannah and Garrett develop naturally – the romance comes after the friendship which starts out with some adversarial interactions.  They are at times annoying, funny, cute, caring and understanding but always seemed believable.   Hannah and Garrett seemed real to me.  Yes, they are in college and in some aspects they are a little older than their years (they both have been through some traumatic things in their young lives), but most of the time they seem to be typical 20 year old college students.  They sound like it, they act like it.  They have real issues, and sometimes there are arguments and some drama, but for the most part they deal with them like real people – they talk and resolve.   Their friends are a key part of their lives, but they do not overtake the main couple. We see them in so many scenarios that are part of normal college life, dealing both with challenges with each other and with other people in their lives. I also liked that they did not let the things that happened when they were younger derail their lives.  Yes, they made choices about how they were going to live and there are some lasting impacts, but mostly they are normal college juniors getting on with their lives.   I really liked how Ms. Kennedy was able to wring the emotion out of the story.  The scene where Hannah and Garrett are first intimate was awesome – it was hot, and there was obvious action, but there was also so much more going on within the plot of the book that made it even more moving.   I was at times smiling, laughing out loud, crying and cheering for our characters.  I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.  I think I liked most of the secondary characters as much as Hannah and Garrett.

I'm always a little hesitant buying books that are about relationships in college because the characters can be very immature. But that wasn't the case with this book. Great story, great characters & a hea!

## Another fantastic read by Elle Kennedy. Wow, she has a talent for making us readers care deeply for her characters. Normally I don't read college stories. My own kids are in college so I find the characters much too young. However I buy everything Ms. Kennedy writes so I had to give this book a chance. Boy, am I glad I did. This book was tremendous. The hero and heroine had fabulous chemistry; their progression from strangers to friends to lovers was beautifully written. It was funny, sexy and heartwrenching all in one. My only complaint and this is HUGE for me and the sole reason I couldn't rate this book 5 stars was that we had to read the sex scenes between the hero and other women. God, that was excruciating for me. Bleh...no thanks. Will I read this again? Yep, that's affirmative...but now I will be prepared and will skip those scenes. Because the rest was stellar!

A great read with a disappointing end! The characters and story are engaging but I felt as though the author stopped writing about Hannah and Garrett. The ending was so abrupt with guy wins championship and kisses the girl...the end.

This book was a solid read. I enjoyed the main characters and the sub characters alike. The heroine and hero had a troubled past but neither of them let it affect their life, or they were both determined that it didn't . Definitely grab a copy.

Finished this book in a couple of busy days. I recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor or truly appreciates connecting with the characters. Kennedy does a marvelous job making the romance realistic and making the reader crave more. This story is refreshingly different and I cannot wait to read the next book!

Hannah and Garrett share a class in college. One he is in danger of flunking if he does not get a tutor, and fast. He wants Hannah to tutor him. She does not have time. Can they compromise? Garrett will be taken off the hockey team if he cannot bring his grade up in time. So he begs. Sends texts. Even sends pic of his delicious abs. Nothing seems to motivate her to tutor him. Hannah is already quite busy and with a life of her own. She does not really want anything to do with his jock type. She turns him down until he offers her something she cannot refuse. The deal of a lifetime and its all such a good read. I could not put it down! Such an amazing bunch of characters and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

After overcoming a tragic event from her teenage years, Hannah is trying to cope with certain situations the best way she knows how. Despite her coping mechanisms, she still has a crush on the new guy at school, Justin. Garrett is one of the stars of the school's hockey team who gets a lower grade than expected on a test. Desperate to do good on the make-up exam, he bugs Hannah to help him study. Against her better judgement, she does. The more time she spends with him, the more she realizes he does not fit what her idea of him. Coming from a toxic childhood and relationship with his Dad, Garrett decides he wants more with Hannah. Interference from outside forces wrecks their relationship, but Garrett refuses to give up and does his best to persevere. this book included both pov's and I really liked the relationship between Hannah and Garrett. I hope to see them in the other books in this series.

I really enjoyed this book. Garrett and Hannah had cute chemistry and made me laugh. Also loved that it was a longer story and not some short novella.

321 pages. I liked it! The chars were engaging and the story kept me eagerly turning the pages. The writing style is smooth though perhaps a little too much time in the chars heads, I would like to see more showing. The book is well worth the reading. I was entertained, held in the world of these chars and was looking for more from this author when I put the book down. What more could you want?

I did a binge read of The Deal and The Mistake before The Score comes out. This was my second go around for the both of them and man, I must have been in lala land when I read them last time, or in the middle of too much adulting to really grasp the greatness of these novels. I absolutely LOVED The Deal, I mean I liked it before, but must have been in a different head space, because these babies are going on my AllTimeFavorites List!! Kennedy's writing is perfect, and when most NA books tend to be a bit to immature for my liking this one was believable and entertaining. Garrett and Hannah's chemistry is HOT! and the BANTER!! YES!!. I'm usually not a fan of egotistical meat-heads but I would take Garrett Graham any day, and the fact that Hannah didn't fall for his charms and drool at this every attention was the icing on the cake. LOVE LOVE LOVE This book!! MUST READ!
