The Deepest Cut (A Sons of Navarus Short Story) [NOOK Book]

Overview

For Vasilije, Sasa is more than just one of his vampires. She's the only vampire he keeps in his life now. That comes with many perks, but also with its fair share of pain as Vasilije can be thoughtless of his empath girlfriend's feelings. His forgetfulness in this area has allowed another Son to befriend Sasa, and the result was Thane's willing assistance in feeding her while Vasilije was once again absent from her side.

Sasa is loyal to her sire and mate, but her mind is plagued with doubts that Vasilije isn't the devoted male she's believed him to be. The ease with which he leaves her makes her wonder if his eyes and other body parts have begun to stray from her. Naturally, she turns to her only true friend for sympathy, and Thane is happy to listen to the woman he secretly loves.

Conflict over a female between two alpha males can lead to a fatal misstep when so much is at stake. The Sons of Navarus can't afford to let their focus slip from deciphering the Prophecy of Idolas and defeating the Archons, and now more than ever they need to be united in their fight to save the vampire world.

The Deepest Cut is meant as a short story to be read after Blood Spirit (Sons of Navarus #3) and Blood Prophecy (Sons of Navarus #4). Readers who haven't read the preceding books in the Sons of Navarus series may find their enjoyment of the story diminished.

Meet the Author

I'm a UF/PNR author and for me, a book does more than just tell a story. It transports readers away from their daily lives to another place where they can be a part of something different than the common and everyday. I'm always so touched when readers tell me they felt like they were a part of the story when they read my books.

When I'm not writing, I can be found reading romance novels but often mysteries, cookbooks, and anything dealing with ancient and medieval history and European history, in general. I also love the outdoors, so I enjoy the wonderful weather Pennsylvania has to offer. I live there with my son and a herd of pets.

    So special.. Loved it!

I really love and adore Gabrielle's writing... She truly brings all of the most important elements into each book. Her books are always well written.. The story and world she has created has so much depth..

The emotion in this short story was off the charts.. I could feel the emotion through the words.. It reached deep into my heart.. Gabrielle's writing is so very powerful and has always managed to get a physical reaction out of me..

Her characters are extraordinary and soo unforgettable.. They come alive and make their way into your heart. After reading her books you become apart of the amazing world she has created. Everything that happens in the books you feel.

Vasilije has always rocked my world.. He is so complex.. You will see a different side of Vasilije in this short story.

Sasa has always been one of my favorite lead female characters.. You will feel even more for her after reading this short story..

Gabrielle's short stories are so very important and they play a big part in this series. They allow you a deeper insight within each character.

    I truly love them.

Anytime I get to read about Vasilije is a great joy to me. He is my favorite Son in the Sons of Navarus series, and of course I loved this book. The story that unfolds will keep you captivated and is a definite must read. I am so looking forward to Blood Prophecy to see how this story continues. :)
