Meet the Author

Tucker Max
Tucker Max received his B.A. from the University of Chicago, where he graduated in 1998. He attended Duke Law School on an academic scholarship, where he graduated with a J.D. in 2001 (despite the fact that he neglected to buy any of his textbooks for his final two years and spent part of one semester-while still enrolled in classes-living in Cancun). Tucker is purportedly the reason Duke dropped from 7 to 11 in the USN&WR rankings during his tenure. He currently lives in Los Angeles, and when he isn't drinking or fornicating.

Tucker Max: Like he needs your money?

Aw shucks folks; it's only Tucker Max. He's smarter, richer, and better looking than you, and he graduated from TWO exclusive academies of higher learning. Why the hell should you give him a dime of the money YOU had to work for? Let him go ask his dad for a bigger allowance.

    It delivers what it promises!

Critics of the infamous Tucker Max may accuse him of being a misogynist, or an egomaniac, and they are exactly right. He is openly and shamelessly the epitomy of the chauvinistic male, and his writing embodies this spirit beautifully. It's easy to read this book, or anything he has written for that matter, and say 'What a pig!' But that's what you're supposed to be thinking, and he would expect nothing less. Loosen up, people. Try, just TRY to take yourselves a little less seriously for a moment, and enjoy the blatantly honest opinions and advice that this guy's guy has to offer. Everyone thinks he's a bad person, including him. Be original, enjoy yourself and don't get so offended. Who knows? If nothing else, maybe this book will get a good laugh out of you. Personally, I think having it on your coffee table can spark up some interesting conversations.

    The Art of Picking Up!

If you are looking for a book to give you the 101 level education on how to pick up, this may not be the book for you. But if you are at the Zenith of your game like a Brendan Murtha or Steve Stifler, this book will give you some good pointers on how to refine your game even more.

    OK, but not great

If you really want a book on pick-up lines, then I guess this would be a good one to get. If you really think you're going to get girls, don't waste your time. Don't get me wrong, I love to go out and see reactions I can get from women with different pick-up lines, but are you so not creative that you need a book to help you?

    Tucker saved my sex life!

This book is amazing. Tucker Max is amazing. This is no joke -- Tucker Max saved my sex life. Sure, a lot of these pick-up lines are pretty much useless, and are more valuable for humor-content than actual usefulness, but that doesn't mean there's not a few gems in there. It's about knowing which ones to use, and when. Six months ago I was single, and pining away for an ex-girlfriend from 2 years ago. Now, I'm sleeping with 3-5 women a week. I've even had several threesomes. Tucker, you are my god.

Whoever hates cocky misogynists obviously doesn't have a sense of humor

I mean come on. This book is hilarious. Have a little fun and read the damn thing. It'll be entertaining at the very least.

    Better than Casanova

The book describes not just a technique, but a philosophy. The secret is to have fun with attractive women and their friends (while at the same time obliterating idiotic obstacles). Tucker shows you how to win with the tucker philosophy and live your life to the max, while still managing to escape with an ounce of dignity (barely, and subject to endless debate). A classical reference.

I'm the only reviewer not a friend of Tucker's

If you think these cheesy pick-up lines will help you get chicks, then I've got some swampland in Arizona to sell you. Tucker's nothing but an incredibly egotistical young man who nonetheless has constant doubts about his (in)adequacy.

    Surpringly good, awesome even

I came across this book almost by blind chance, ordered it, and was amazed--it was really, really good. It is funny, witty, intelligently written, and fairly informative. I have read a few other books inthis genre, and they were all pretty poor. This one definitely stood out. It was well worth buying.
