The Devotinal Writings of T.D. Jakes is an awesome book. I think every woman must add this book to to must read. I have been spending my spair time reading books for 12yrs. When I was a young girl I did not like to read but now I luv it and can't get enough. On March 31st of this year, I had surgery which I was place on medical leave for 6 weeks. During that time I needed a good book to read. I went into Barnes and Noble which is my favorite hang out place to look for a book. I was going to purchase a total opposite book at first but came across T.D. Jakes book that was on sale that I just could'nt pass up on. The book hit home with what I have been experiencing for years. I am just like the woman that T.D. Jakes mention in the book in so many ways. For exampla, I was sick with a issue of blood and God heal me. I was abuse in so many ways as a child and I experience lost in my life. I have been loosed and set free. I always try to read books or megazines that would inform me or empower me to be the best I can be. The book is the best investment that I have made and I would refer back to different quotes in the book when I get in a low point in my life to assist me to get back up.

Reverend Jakes was truly writing the inspired word from God as he penned the words of this book, to the many, many, suffering women in the world today. This book speaks to the wounded, the weary, the tired, the women that have tried to "fake it till you make it" and keep their lives together, to look "normal" while feeling like a fraud all the while wondering how God can take that history, those scars from the past, and make it alright, even using it for his Glory. Brother Jakes was moved to write this book for me. For me and for so many women just like me that have often wondered, "why me, Lord?". We have wanted to be "loosed" for a long time, but didn't really know how or if it is possible. But, "all things are possible through Christ that strengthens me". Every woman in the world should have her own copy of this book, even if she does not realize the pertinence to her circumstance. Trust me, it is relevant in some way to all of the female gender. It is divinely inspired for females to speak to a place in their heart that is often longing to be addressed and ministered to, even without it being at a level of counsciousness that one would seek to find this book. I only stumbled upon it myself at a book store and felt led to buy it, then couldn't put it down until I was done, reading almost nightly until the end. And what a great ending! Do not let the size of the book intimidate you, either. The pages vertually read themselves, some items are reinterated for emphasis many times. The pages go by very quickly. May God richly bless Brother Jakes for writing this book for the women of the world, as it will serve to "loose" so many of us in so many different ways. This is a book that one could read now, then save and re-read later as a refresher course when the weights of life troubles start to creep back in if you let them....the book is a must have and a must keep!
