The Dhance: A Caregiver's Search for Meaning
“This book is a story of life at its best in the worst of experiences [during] the human journey. It gives us hope that we can always grow and discover who we truly are and what is important in life. A love story filled with life skills.” - Rev Beth Ann Suggs, PCC; Unity Minister

In his newest book, "The Dhance: A Caregiver’s Search for Meaning", Coy F. Cross II writes about his journey into acceptance and transformation as he learns how God is “also in the worst of our life’s experiences”. Coy’s journey began in earnest in 2009 when his wife, Carol, was diagnosed with cancer. Coy needed to find a way to deal with this crisis and also be present and available to his wife in a meaningful way. Coy grappled with questions such as: 'Why do bad things happen to people who are doing God’s work?' and 'Where is God in murder and disease?' Then he remembered the teachings of his mentor Reverend Carol Ruth Knox and began to put into practice her teachings.

Coy has written a practical book detailing his journey while he and his wife were in the ‘trenches with the disease’. He says, "This excruciating time was ‘our graduate course on deepening our relationship with the Divine. It wasn’t the path we had expected or wanted, but through the journey, we both were transformed.’ "
