All Music Guide - Heather Phares
On The Disney Songbook, Jim Brickman applies his famously smooth touch to new and old classics from the revered animation studio. Brickman chooses Disney songs that work perfectly with his style, ranging from the soothing sweetness of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Reflection" to wittier, livelier tracks like "Cruella De Vil" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah." He also recruits a cast of singers to help bring the songbook to life, including Wayne Brady, Kassie DePaiva, and two American Idol alumni, Kimberley Locke and Josh Gracin. Brady's "Beautiful" and Locke's "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" compare favorably with Disney's own pop versions of songs like "A Whole New World," ...

A good-natured listening experience, The Disney Songbook may not be among Brickman's all-time best albums, but it's never less than relaxing and sweet.

This is now my favorite CD! It's even great as background music! The classic Disney movie hits played beautifully in a gorgeous combination! Such quality instrumentals! The songs with vocals are breathtaking too. Words cannot express the joy this music is bringing to our home! Every Disney fan will LOVE this collection of music!

Jim Brickman's "The Disney Songbook" is awesome

Jim Brickman does a fantastic job "brickmanzing" the these Disney classics.Jim has his own style of playing that captivates his audience. Jim is so emotional and passionate as he plays especially "Beauty and The Beast" and "Can You Fell the Love Tonight" with Tracy Silverman accompanying Jim with his electric violin. The sounds that they make are mind blowing. Wayne Brady sings "Beautiful" is done superbly. Jim has a great mixture of slow and lively songs which included "Cruella De Vil", "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, & "When I See an Elephant Fly" sung by Lila MCCann. He brings back memories with "Some Day My Prince Will Come', "A Dream Is A Wich Your Heart Makes", and "When You Wish Upon A Star" . Lila McCann does an awesome job singin "I'm Amazed". Jim's playing the Disney Classics is mindblowing, it brings back so many childhood memories of watching the Disney classics and having Walt Disney talk before the show. Thanks Jim for doing such an outstanding job with the Disney classics. This CD is a must for adults and well as children. It is one the kids can sing along with as well as the adults since we have heeard these songs for many years. Way to go Jim.
