4.5 stars When I read the first chapter of this book as part of the SYTYCW2012 competition, I knew straight away it was a winner. It had everything. When I read the entire book I was thrilled that it met my expectations. The minor changes made between competition and publication were well done and polished it off nicely. We start at a glittering event in New York City (tick glamour) with Lilly attending her divorce party. Riccardo (tick hot hero) has said if she wants her divorce, she has to come and get it. Only it's not as simple as that she finds when face to face with Riccardo. Their love match crashed and burned a year ago under the pressures of Riccardo's work, taking over the massive international company that is the De Campo heritage and Lilly's personal insecurities. Now Riccardo has a deal for her and it means too much one on one time with her soon to be ex-husband. But if she wants the divorce, and the settlement that will be a lifesaver for her family, she has to play along. The story itself is classic high stakes romance with Lilly and Riccardo circling warily around, still suffering the hurts of their failed marriage. Thrown together, they start to learn a whole lot more about each other and about what went on in the past. Things were not always what they seemed. I absolutely loved Riccardo but at times I found Lilly's secrecy and insecurities a little frustrating which is why I couldn't quite give it the full five stars. I'm looking forward to the next in the De Campo series.

I loved this book and to think of having a divorce party as a way to keep the wife you love with you is ingenious. Lilly and Riccardo are considered by the media the golden couple. She walks out on Riccardo and wants him to sign the divorce papers thinking that he couldn't really love her. He tells her that he is throwing a divorce party and that she needs to show up if she wants the papers signed. That is exactly what she does. Little does she know that Riccardo has other plans. He still loves Lilly and wants to keep her in his life by hook or by well blackmail. Riccardo manages to get her back in their home and in his arms, that is when the sparks really begin to fly. The question is, will they divorce or will it be happily ever after? You must read it to find out.

Jennifer Hayward's first book was most definitely a winner. An alpha male, but one that realized he had done wrong in regards to a wife that had issues being in the limelight of the public. Add in a health condition the alpha didn't know about and you get a slightly more attentive husband more than willing to make up for his past.

I loved this book! This is Jennifer Hayward's debut book and winner of Harlequins 2012 So You Think a You Can Write competition! I personally can't wait for her next book. Riccardo and Lilly are strong characters who are on the verge of finalizing their divorce when Riccardo comes up with a deal Lilly can't turn down. Reconcile for 6 months then she can walk away. Read this book and to see what happens. I'm really hoping Jennifer gives Alex, Gabe and Mattao get their HEA.
