This is a truly heartwarming story of a wonderful dog who rescued a man from his despair and gave his life new, richer, and deeper meaning by rescuing cats. I agree with Mr.Gonzales that Ginny must be an angel. This is a page turner from which no one will want to be interrupted - so curl up with your own little ball of fur and purr and read away! You will be glad that you did!

I read this book the day it came out. I still have the book, somehow I can not part with it. I have recommend this book to some of the client who comes to our hospital. I work at a Pet Clinic. To this day I still remember Ginny's story and it will stay in my heart always. It saddened me to know that she had passed on. I will always treasure her story.

THE DOG WHO RESCUES CATS has to be, hands down, one of the best animal stories I have ever read. I am a very huge cat lover, and even dog lover, so I thought this book would be right up my alley. And boy I wasn't wrong. Philip, a hand's on kind of man, was injured at work which cost his the use of his right arm. His neighbor was sick of him moping around, being all depressed, so she took him to get a dog a the local pound. Meet Ginny, a mixed up mutt who just came out of surgery herself. The story goes on to show their unbreakable bond and Ginny's amazing gift, able to sniff our handicap cats. From Topsy, a cat who couldn't walk, just roll. Madame, who was completely blind. Betty Boop, who had no hind feet and hopped like a rabbit. Philip Gonzalez is a very large hero in my eyes. He takes care of the cats no one wants. The disabled, the strays, but still deep down in his heart, he loved them all. This man is a complete hero, and always will be.

When I first began the book, I thought it was more a book for a child to read. As I got further into it, the story became more and more amazing as the deeds of this 'heaven sent' dog were revealed. Anyone of reading age, who love cats, would enjoy reading this book! By the time you finish the book, you also will like/love dogs..........especially this one.
